Shall i compare thee to a summer's day?!! That's probably one of the first few lines that came to my mind when i set foot in Rome on a fine summer day. Quite frankly I have no clue where to start. I have been mulling over the idea of a blog every since I got back from a magnificent trip to Italy. Might as well do it before the fever settles down. So methinks a good place to start is with travel and art. That's what I mean when I named this page. This is not about me..nothing is. It is about so many things larger than life that I have been fortunate enough to experience. Have you ever noticed when you feel like your mind is brimming with thoughts and when you try to elucidate, they fail you? A moment to classify my thoughts here !!
I have written this article in my mind a couple of times back and forth. Especially on the day I got back - as I cleansed the fatigue out of my system, I was hoping to retain these memories for ever. Walking alongside the Orsanmichele, gazing at the Gates of Paradise named by Michelangelo himself, gorging on delectable gelato at every opportunity, the splendid stained glass windows of the Gothic masterpieces, the sheer splendour that is Venice, I let out my biggest sigh when i realised my fantasy holiday had drawn to a close.
Detailed travel guide on Roman Holiday to follow with a whole bunch of tips and tricks that i picked up from friends, other blogs and some i cooked up on the way.
That's me in a "This is serious" avatar. I seldom try to be.
